Meet Pavlina and Andreas! This wonderful couple came all the way from the beautiful island of Cyprus. They had a very special dream: a simple and super romantic elopement – just the two of them – right in the heart of Rome. They wanted us, as their Rome elopement photographer, to be there to capture all those precious moments and happy feelings, so their Rome memories would last forever. And let us tell you, Pavlina and Andreas were just bursting with excitement and so much positive energy! They were truly up for anything.
Our amazing day together kicked off super early in the morning, before the sun was even up! We met them at the world-famous Trevi Fountain. You know the one – that huge, stunning fountain where people toss coins, hoping to return to Rome. It looked extra special as it had just been renovated, so it was sparkling. The best part about being there so early? Rome is usually buzzing with people, but at that hour, it was wonderfully quiet. It almost felt like we had this amazing spot all to ourselves. This peaceful vibe was just perfect for taking some beautiful, relaxed photos of Pavlina in her lovely dress, and Andreas, who couldn’t stop smiling at his bride.
After soaking in the Trevi magic, we started our walk towards another famous Roman spot, the Pantheon. As we were strolling through Rome’s charming old streets, a lovely ray of early morning sunlight suddenly shone through between the buildings. It was such a pretty sight! We had a fun, spontaneous idea. We asked, “how about a little dance right here in this beautiful light? Andreas, fancy sweeping Pavlina off her feet?” They didn’t need asking twice! They absolutely loved the idea. With big smiles, they started laughing and dancing, and Andreas gently lifted a joyful Pavlina. We snapped some fantastic photos of them moving and just having a blast – pure joy and so much fun!
When we arrived at the Pantheon, we paused for more photos. It’s such an amazing building with its incredible ancient dome. Pavlina and Andreas looked wonderful standing before this piece of history.
Next up was Campidoglio Hill. From this beautiful square, you get one of the most amazing wide views of Rome, looking out over the ancient Roman Forum and the city’s rooftops. We took a little breather there, just letting Pavlina and Andreas soak in the incredible scenery. It’s a view that really gets you, and you can see so much of Rome’s history from up there. It was a good moment for them to just enjoy being together in such a special place.
Next, from Campidoglio Hill, we captured some amazing shots looking down onto the Fori Imperiali, also known as the Roman Forum. The view of the ancient ruins below was incredible. With this stunning historical backdrop, we asked Pavlina and Andreas if they were up for some fun, less traditional photos, maybe even a bit silly. True to form, they loved the idea! They laughed and joked with us, resulting in some wonderfully natural, happy shots that perfectly captured their playful spirit.
And then, for the grand finale of their elopement photoshoot: the mighty Colosseum! This world-famous, ancient monument is just so impressive and full of stories. It was the perfect, powerful backdrop to wrap up their special few hours of elopement bliss. Seeing Pavlina and Andreas, so clearly happy and in love, in front of the Colosseum was a truly wonderful moment. It’s such a strong symbol of Rome, and it made for an unforgettable end to their photo adventure.
It was a fast-paced, exciting morning, full of beautiful sights, lots of laughter, and so much love. What an amazing way for Pavlina and Andreas to celebrate their love and start their new life together, with these fantastic memories of their Roman elopement.
